Winter adventure racing is back in the Northwest this year!
MerGeo and 4th Dimension Racing are producing the Winter BEAST adventure race, Sunday, January
31 in the beautiful Salmon La Sac area, Northwest of Cle Elum, WA.
The course is expected to have a winning time of about 4 hours, with a
time limit of 8 hours, and there is a Pro Course extension for
front-running teams.
While most of the course will be off groomed routes, teams that have

40 Mile Loop Adventure

Hi,

I'm new to Adventure Racing but thought that this community might be interested in an event I organized last weekend on July 26th. Basically it was a trail run through Forest Park (7 miles), bike along the Springwater Trail corridor from downtown Portland, through Gresham, Troutdale and back to North Portland along Marine drive (45 miles). The last leg was a kayak trip from Kelley Point Park to Cathedral Park (6 miles).

Gold Rush Mother Lode Expedition AR, Nov 4 - 8, 2009

Gold Rush Adventure Races is proud to present the Gold Rush Mother Lode Expedition Adventure Race. Mother Lode is the only expedition adventure race in the USA west of the Rockies in 2009. Teams will trek, mountain bike, and paddle as the navigate through the scenic lakes, valleys, hills, and mountains of California's Gold Country. Cold and wet weather are a regular occurence at our November events so teams from Oregon and Washington should have some advantage over the local fair weather racers here in California. Coast Mountain Sports Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race 002

A Coast Mountain Sports Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race is a one day event aimed at challenging the bodies and minds of adventure enthusiasts. Test your limits on a scenic 30 or 50 km of mountain biking, navigation, trail running and kayaking. Both races this year include a 30 km 'sport' course and a 50 km 'enduro' course. Race solo, or in a team of 2 or 4. MOMAR after-parties are legendary, well deserved celebrations after a gruelling race day!

GPS Tracking in Adventure Racing

SleepMonsters and TrackMe360 SPOT New Opportunities

SleepMonsters and TrackMe360 are now working in partnership to maximise the benefits and potential of the new SPOT Satellite Messengers in tracking adventure racing.

After pioneering the first use of SPOT in an international race at the Baja Travesia last month, preparations are now underway for coverage of this months Florida Coast to Coast race and the Untamed New England race in June, with live tracking maps and instant leader-board updates.

Training event

Is anyone interested in helping me put together an informal training/race at Hagg Lake or some where else in Novemeber. I was thinking that we could kayak, bike and run for 3-6 hours. Anyone interested? I have helped to organized an official race but this would be more informal and free! I could use help to create the maps, place the CP's and bring beer. The lake is open until the weekend before Thanksgiving. Thanks
