Small Paddlecraft Dock
Last updated by shane on Sun, 01/02/2005 - 10:25am

The new Small Paddlecraft Dock is located on the East side of the Willamette river across from Downtown Portland. The dock is accessed from SE Clay Street, which is just South of the Hawthorne bridge, underneath I5.

Currently the parking is signed with many No Parking signs with stern warnings of being towed. However, the Portland Development Commission (PDC) has worked out an arrangement for parking near the dock. Here's an exerpt from the discussion:

"With respect to parking, Fred assured me that, despite the plethora of signage, the towing company has been clearly instructed in writing not to tow any vehicles from either our lot, the gravel lot across the street, or from in front of the building (where Fred said we are also free to park). If any cars are towed, we need to let Fred know about it ASAP, and PDC will reimburse for towing expenses if it should happen accidentally. But PDC will work with us to develop both some dedicated parking (primarily for the Alder Creek and Willamette Riverkeeper folks who need to park all day) and some short term parking signs that appropriately identify the allowed uses in our lot. Again, this won't happen overnight, but hopefully sometime in January."

Here are some maps to help you find the dock:
