Starvation Creek Trailhead is the standard start point for most of the PDXAR Mt. Defiance hikes.

Directions:

Take I-84 East from Downtown Portland
10 miles W of Hood River take Exit 54 off I-84
this dumps you directly into the Starvation Creek State Park parking lot - park your vehicle

DON'T MISS IT, there is no westbound exit so it takes nearly 30 minutes to turn around twice to get back to it.
