Here's an all-on-foot (plus public transportation) 2-5 hour race in downtown Portland. It is one of those wacky races where you run to checkpoints and then do some Survivor-esque challenge. location:
Saturday, July 29, 2006 - 9:00am
Lord Hill Park Snohomish WA.

Join my brother Sean and I headed for the Six Degrees of Navigation Adventure Race, a sprint adventure race in the Puget Sound area. Test your mind and body in a challenging combination of sports disciplines, including kayaking, orienteering, mountain biking, and trekking. They will also throw in some special tests just to make it interesting. The common thread is navigation: all teams must find their way from checkpoint to checkpoint using a map and compass as aids. With a projected winning time of 4-5 hours, Six Degrees of Navigation is an adventure race that any highly-motivated team can complete. My brother and I hope to see some other PDX Adventure racers at the race.
