Come and experience bike racing in beautiful west Portland at the annual Sunset Criterium. Bring the family and enjoy the festivities. The merchants at Bethany Village shopping center are ready to provide you with a full day of entertainment with live music, food and a beer garden. The new race course is located behind the shopping center and winds through the upper parking lot onto Laidlaw Rd. with a fast downhill return to the finishing stretch.

Here's an all-on-foot (plus public transportation) 2-5 hour race in downtown Portland. It is one of those wacky races where you run to checkpoints and then do some Survivor-esque challenge. You are given a new Blackberry phone to use during the race. Sounds like a fun way to get some running in with a friend! Plus there are really good prizes!

The race directors have changed the Trioba format up a bit: its now a winner takes-all battle between 3 person teams. We can't race without YOU, so we really need you.

Join my brother Sean and I headed for the Six Degrees of Navigation Adventure Race, a sprint adventure race in the Puget Sound area. Test your mind and body in a challenging combination of sports disciplines, including kayaking, orienteering, mountain biking, and trekking. They will also throw in some special tests just to make it interesting. The common thread is navigation: all teams must find their way from checkpoint to checkpoint using a map and compass as aids. With a projected winning time of 4-5 hours, Six Degrees of Navigation is an adventure race that any highly-motivated team can complete. My brother and I hope to see some other PDX Adventure racers at the race.

The BEAST Race Season is starting again, and we hope to have as many or more racers from Portland come up for the races, last year noone regretted the rather long drive... race solo or up to 4 people, or sign up for a team lotto, we ll assign you perfect strangers... 7pm-11pm, winning time usually 1.5-2h, trekking, MTB, navigation, and lots of fun. 35$ per person.
